LOT # 2

Deputed Duke ~ AP #3
- PROXY BIDS WERE TAKEN UNTIL JULY 24th 10pm EST
Final Artisan Gallery Bids were taken at Breyerfest until 10:30pm Friday July 28th

Many will remember this guy from earlier galleries. I have smoothed out and deepened his coat color in some areas, added a tad more detail, including a bit more subtle dappling, and am finally ready (after 2 years now?!) to call him "finished"! :)

This is one of the very first Deputed Dukes pulled from the mold. Total edition size was 120, with 110 sold to the public. Duke is Traditional scale and is a portrait of a Thoroughbred stallion. This palomino casting was originally intended to be my first Artist's Proof of the edition, but (lol!) he winds up being the 3rd one completed. Photos show a variety of lighting as palomino's are notoriously challenging to capture accurately in photographs. I look forward to showing off his shimmery coat that took all this time to make at long last! :) Media is primarily oils.

Minimum Bid: $350
Final Bid: $688
(reserve met)

LOT # 3

Flitwick ~ AP #2
- PROXY BIDS WERE TAKEN UNTIL JULY 24th 10pm EST
Final Artisan Gallery Bids were taken at Breyerfest until 9pm Saturday July 29th

He is done! He is spunky!!!! The color just went on him so naturally! He is sports a dun coat in oils, with a few final highlights done in mixed media. He has very faint & minimal primative markings but the more mealy mouth typical of pony breeds of this type, sunburt highlights (mixed hairs, I really don't know the genetics behind it, just am working from pictures) to the mane and slightly more contrasty lower legs. I think he would be acceptable in the show ring as a # of different native pony breeds.

FINAL WINNING BIDDER WILL GET TO CHOOSE THE SEASON / STYLE OF THE BASE! :) He will come to you with his simple base, glossy dark grey (almost black) right away and we can discuss the details you'd like added to the rock wall base after Breyerfest... just to add a little more fun to this lot!!! ;)

Minimum Bid: $100
Final Bid: $335

ITEMS THAT WERE FOR SALE ONLY AT BREYERFEST

LOT #4 Candidus~ final bid $400
This is an older custom of mine that I've been hemming and hawing about selling. His NAN card(s?) are now expired I believe and he's been sitting around in a dark corner in my home. It's time to share him with an eager new owner! In fact I need to alert the Region 10 list that he's going up for grabs as many from around here have asked about him.

Ann Harris does amazingly soleful horses that just seem to be looking right at you. He is a must see in person. Even unpainted he is one of the few resins I've ever owned that always seemed to be watching me... he's got that "dinner bell" expression you might say! :) Candidus is aTraditional scale Warmblood Stallion 2002 release, edition of 25 according to Ann's web site.

Lot #5 Horsing Around's Edgar Allen to mare ~ final bid $100
This (now) lady has been in my string for a long time as well. She's held her own in the show ring but I've since given her more dramatic eyes and spruced up her star dapples just a tad. I did some resculpting to her way back: more belly, sex change (gelding to mare), and a plaited tail. She was a second quality casting and has some rougher spots but is quite typey and fun all the same! :)

Lot #6 Horsing Around Welsh Pony Stallion ~ final bid $120 (shown below in progress/almost done)
I really am a fan of David Mayer's sculpting style. This fellow is clearly drying in this photo and I can't wait to add the final details. He is Little Bit scale.

Lot #7 DauntlessDauntless ~ final bid $400 (shown below in progress)
This little dude has been knocking around my studio for several years as well. I intend to finish him to a bit darker almost primative bay coloring. I am awaiting some pictures of this little dude's final face to show off... he was a hit!

ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE FOR SALE, BUT AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING

El Embosco ~ AP #2 IN PROGRESS - (was shown for display only just not quite done in time..will go to ebay soon)

He awaits completion of his roaning/detailing. He was base coated in air brushed acrylics for smoothness, given an oil finish roan color, and now thousands and thousands of BLENDED tiny hairs are being added.. this guy is a must see up close in person! There is now a good chance that he may NOT be ready in time for Breyerfest but he'll be there, in any case. I have sculpted his hooves to be extremely chipped and cracked and expect to give him a fair number of corn spots. El Embosco is Traditional scale, sculpted by me and is a sold out edition of 200 with 190 offered to the public.

Deputed Duke ~ AP #4 IN PROGRESS (was shown for display only just not quite done in time..will go to ebay soon)
You may have seen this horse before but you certainly cannot tell it is the same finish. This fellow started out as a dappled grey. I became dissatisfied with the finish.. and ultimately he became an air brush victim! hahaha.. But seriously, this is a nearly completely air brushed body color and is vastly different from my normal hand painted style. That alone makes him quite, well unique. Nevermind the wild color! He's very obviously in progress as well and like the El Embosco artist's proof, if he is not finished by Breyerfest, he will still be making an appearance! :)

Lirico ~ IN PROGRESS
Lirico lost a front hoof in a bizarre way, I was setting him down after spraying finish on him and it literally popped off (I thought there was a faint line there and apparently it was .. good for the buyer for me to have found it before they did!). I have repaired it with a screw embedded into both ends very firmly (no rods so the break was VERY clean). The repair has been resculpted/sanded etc but he will definitely get another white sock on that leg now! I will definitely still be bringing him (in progress) to allow people to inspect the repair in person so they can later bid with confidence on him! :)

Lirico was a special offer to select past customers of Sarah and is classic scale.

TERMS OF ALL SALES:
Edition sizes, copyright restrictions, payment methods and how to pay can all be found on each resins' page under "Information".

CUSTOMIZATIONS:
I wouldn't be in this hobby if it weren't for customizing Breyers & I feel I would be a hypocrite to claim that my art is any better than any other artist's work, even mass producted pieces - so go for it! I am referring here to changes to individual resins, such as a ear moved or manes and tails being redone - or complete rearrangments of one individual piece purchased.... CASTING anything derived from my art is a different story - see thoughts on this type of work below.

PLEASE NOTE - DERIVATIVES AND LIKENESSES:
I do NOT endorse any artist who attempts to recreate a derivative or 'likeness' of my sculptures in any scale or media, be it from scratch, a Breyer or Stone plastic model, or another artist's resin customization. There are plenty of ways to sculpt any of these poses I've done and still have it look terribly different from my own ideas. Intentional attempts at reproducing any type of likeness to any of my sculptures will not be tolerated. Intentional copying is wrong. Period.

IT'S THE LAW THOUGH!
Please make sure that my signature mark is not removed and that credit for the original is still given to me. Absolutely no casting reproductions of any resins or derivatives of my resins will be allowed.
