SOLD OUT - info here only for posterity :)
FIRST AND FOREMOST: Read ALL of the below explanations in bold pink color - no time payments or deposits are being taken. Also, you are responsible for being prepared to pay when your "notification of payment due" comes to you. Otherwise, you may not get your resin. You are only making a reservation here!

I have only crossed off the information about making a reservation for buyers since the slots are all gone now. But hopefully, if you put in one of the reservations on the 200 and have a confirmation code, you'll still be able to read this page if you have a question. It's only been rewritten just a bit to be clearer for those interested in being added to the waiting list.

1) Buyers Folks who want to be on the waiting list will need to send me their:

  • Full name
  • Email contact address (and alternates - including your phone number if you are concerned you might not get your notice and loose your reservation!)
  • The number of castings being ordered (more on that below) that you HOPE to order through the waiting list
  • Your anticipated shipping address

Please ONLY send these 4 pieces of information at first - NOTHING ELSE! NO DEPOSITS! .To place a reservation, simply send an email with the Subject: "Reservation" "Waiting list" to morgen@one-horse.net and clearly include in the body of the email the above information.

2) NEXT (see info on the list organization below): Buyers Folks who want to be on the waiting list will get a notice letting them know their confirmation ID code and they can see their payment waiting list status here: http://www.artbymorgen.com/Bosco_Reservation_List.htm

3) LATER [APPLIES ONLY TO SLOTS 1-200, NOT THOSE BEING ADDED TO THE WAITING LIST](for timing, see info on the list organization below): You will get a notice informing you that your casting is ready to be cast - you will have 2 weeks to get the payment to me or you will default on your reservation and will be placed at the end of the waiting list: thus - if you default, there is no guarentee of getting a casting. Fortunately, there are also no refunds or lost fees this way as well. It's easy to see when you will be asked to pay as well - simply bookmark this page: http://www.artbymorgen.com/Bosco_Reservation_List.htm and you can see when slots before you are coming due to pay.

ALSO IMPORTANT NOTE HERE: THE ORDER OF THE LIST IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE IF PEOPLE DEFAULT ON PAYMENTS ON TIME - this means you may check on it and be #67 one week, and then discover a week later that you are #64
all of a sudden so BOOKMARK IT and CHECK it. I should add that in fairness, I am trying to intersperse my own Artist's Proofs so that the list doesn't jump ahead too quickly on folks as well. I do understand that summer is a tough time with vacations and hobby events. Once you get your notice you will have 2 weeks to get a payment to me or default on your slot. More on that and the reasons I find this to be the fairest way are explained below.

PLEASE READ THE BELOW INFORMATION CAREFULLY to answer questions regarding the method by which payments are being taken and how the reservation and waiting list will work. I am doing this in part because the summer is a time when folks aren't online too much, but rather are off having fun vacationing (and spending - lol!) and I know many have expressed concerns about missing out somehow.

Several other artist resin edition release methods and suggestions have gone into this. I hope everyone will find it's the fairest way to go. This will work as follows:

  • For simplicity, the release price will be postage paid (ppd) this time around - it's far to time consuming to go back and forth getting postage from customers and adds to confusion in shipping.

  • NO TIME PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Please read the rest below thoroughly -- time payments aren't necessary because you will have time to save it on your own. I will send a notice to my yahoo group giving updates on the # of slots left. If you want to get more time to save, you'll have to gamble a little and wait to send in your reservation so that you are farther back on the list.

  • Buyers will need to send me their names, A GOOD CONTACT method (email and phone numbers are ok), the number of castings being ordered and their shipping addresses ONLY at first - NOTHING ELSE! NO DEPOSITS!

Several people have chosen to include their phone numbers and I really appreciate this. You can also give me alternate friend or family email addresses (with their permission!) or a contact PM name on The Model Horse Blab as hotmail and yahoo and the like of free email services are notoriously unreliable.

If you reserve a second resin later (in order to not have to pay for both at once), please add a note in that second email that you have already reserved x# of resins and this will be your x-th (final count).

  • Buyer's will be given their reservation or waiting list code (a randomized mixture of their initials, location and email addys - for anonymity)

  • A reservation list will be made. If there are more than 170 reservations, these will go onto a waiting list..

  • As casting orders are about to be placed, buyers will be given 2 weeks to get the funds to me (check, paypal credit card, MO, etc). This ensures the minimum wait for your resin once you've paid.

  • If buyers do NOT have the cash at this time, they will be placed at the * very* end of the list (after the waiting list) thus, there is no guarentee that you will get one if you cannot come up with funds when yours' is ready to be cast. I'm doing this to be entirely fair to everyone involved -- and to ensure that there are no surprises as to the time frame that money will be due within, I will be publishing a list that all reservees will get a link to. It will be updated frequently and looks something like this;

(real list is located here: http://www.artbymorgen.com/Bosco_Reservation_List.htm )

  • Reservees will be sent notices when they fall into the highlighted pink and asterisked " * " "ACTION NEEDED" rows. If someone is in the "action needed SOON" time frame and they will be away or unavailable or are experiencing email problems, THEN they can email/write me and let me know and send money early. However I WILL NOT be shifting reservations around on the list for folks who have had unexpected financial crisises, this is unfair to everyone as it bumps other's up in line sooner too and generally adds lots of confusion. This method allows people the most amount of time to save money possible. I think it's more than fair and it's the best I can do to "please everyone". When I post this list, I'll urge reservees to bookmark it and check it if they have concerns about not having the money on time.

Another added note: as I've said above, it is your responsibity to know when the reservation is coming up due -- I will use all contact means provided before scratching you off of the reservation list. However, the best method to ensure you don't loose your spot is to pay attention periodically to when you name is nearing the due date. See code key on the reservation page.

  • To be fair to everyone, please do not place a reservation if you sincerely have doubts you'll be able to come up with the funds.

  • I will only deal with those making the reservations. Anyone wishing to sell slots should realize that I will only mail this resin to you or your painter/prepper - do not change the contact information (other than shipping address - which will only need to be confirmed ONCE -- at the time of payment).
  • Shipping addresses - again, please only worry about giving me your updated shipping address at the time of actual payment if it has changed from your initial address given.

  • Codes for names are being used because if reservees drop out for lack of funds, the edition number subsequent reservees will be lowered. So I need to publish a continually updated list online to show the status of casting, shipping and when next payment is due. Thus, if you initially are the 114th person to reserve one, and 10 people before you default, you will be bumped up in line to the edition #104. This is also why it is important for reservees to check their status online. I will periodically post to my list that changes have been made to this online paying/shipping queue listing. Visit it and refresh the page often. :)

TIP FOR SEARCHING through that list. PC users can use the keys "Ctrl" and "F" to get a prompt that says "Find". Enter your ID code into this prompt and click "Find Next". It should take you down the page. When you reserve your resin, please check the page and make note of the #(s) of your reservation. It's good to check also that I have not accidentally put you down for more than you wish to reserve too. Sending multiple emails is the most likely culprit of this. If you reserve a second resin later (in order to not have to pay for both at once), please add a note in that second email that you have already reserved x# of resins and this will be your x-th (final count).

Additional clarification here - it's in everyone's best interest (mine too) to not have this list jump around too erracticly, so if the caster has a faster week or a few extra people default off the list at once, I will keep these as my artist's proofs whenever possible. Since there will be four molds made (at different time throughout the edition) of this resin, I would like to have artist's proofs from all four molds.

  • Refunds - if you get your resin and are not satisfied, you will have two weeks to notify me and return him to me or the caster (depending on the issue). Replacements for damaged in transit castings will be dealt with through the caster and shipping service via insurance protocols. Refunds due to disastisfaction will be refunded by me upon my reciept of the returned resin.

  • Other stuff -- as always, buyers may change whatever they wish to on the resin (waived VARA artwork alteration rights), HOWEVER, please try NOT to obliterate my signature on it, of course! Absolutely NO recasting of any derivative works is permitted.

  • Anyone driving me crazy ;) with repeated emails asking questions already answered here will be treated in true Soup Nazi fashion: NO RESIN FOR YOU! (I am kidding about that entirely of course). But sincerely, PLEASE -> READ THE ABOVE AND BE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND IT, FOR EVERYONE'S SAKE. It is unfair to everyone to expect special treatment with your order and payments. I really think my customers are the most awesome folks and I wish I had the time to accomodate everyone, but unfortunately, it takes away from my sculpting time to invest unnecessary extra time spent at the computer to answer questions repeatedly. If a question keeps coming up I try to go through this release information page and clarify whatever aspect is apparently unclear. That's one of the reasons I've posted it in advance of the casting release and will leave it in place until the edition is fully shipped out..

On a more personal note about this choice in edition selling method, I have recently become one of the unemployeed of the world, thus, I understand how quickly your life can change while waiting for things. However, I too have a far smaller 'margin of error' in my own finances. So the lack of time payments and list ordering is the fairest way, both for me and you, should things change in anyone's future. Consider also that every time we send money we pay some sort of fee for it's transit: be it stamps or MO purchase fees, or my own costs in paypal transaction fees. I promise, NO HARD FEELINGS if you suddenly run into an issue and have to decline or wait and hope you get a chance later on again. In the end, if a purchase is truly something you "must have", then you'll struggle to save the money because of it. I'm a resin buyer too and know your pain as well! :)

TERMS OF ALL SALES:
Edition sizes, copyright restrictions, payment methods and how to pay can all be found on each resins' page under "Information".

CUSTOMIZATIONS:
I wouldn't be in this hobby if it weren't for customizing Breyers & I feel I would be a hypocrite to claim that my art is any better than any other artist's work, even mass producted pieces - so go for it! I am referring here to changes to individual resins, such as a ear moved or manes and tails being redone - or complete rearrangments of one individual piece purchased.... CASTING anything derived from my art is a different story - see thoughts on this type of work below.

PLEASE NOTE - DERIVATIVES AND LIKENESSES:
I do NOT endorse any artist who attempts to recreate a derivative or 'likeness' of my sculptures in any scale or media, be it from scratch, a Breyer or Stone plastic model, or another artist's resin customization. There are plenty of ways to sculpt any of these poses I've done and still have it look terribly different from my own ideas. Intentional attempts at reproducing any type of likeness to any of my sculptures will not be tolerated. Intentional copying is wrong. Period.

IT'S THE LAW THOUGH!
Please make sure that my signature mark is not removed and that credit for the original is still given to me. Absolutely no casting reproductions of any resins or derivatives of my resins will be allowed.
