Sales and Shipping information

Orders will have some delay in casting and shipping, please read:

When you place your order I will pay the caster and give them your shipping information. Orders right now will likely take at least month to arrive (As of Feb 12th, 2010). In all cases please be advised that orders could take this much time or more (or less). There will not be any "in stock" inventory to ship from immediately. Casting facility workload will affect shipping times but usually these exceptionally busy times do not result in a very long delay. Please just be aware that castings are made only when paid for by you when you are placing your order. Customer understanding and patience is greatly appreciated!

Because I am not shipping orders directly it has become too challenging to keep an online list showing shipping dates. I may have to do this if orders become too backlogged (greater than 6-8 weeks expected to deliver). If a backlog develops it will be a more private (and less formal) list and won't be linked up on this page. In confirming your order I will let you know if this becomes necessary.

Customers will get a general idea of around when horses should be shipping, and when shipped they will receive a UPS shipping and tracking notice forwarded from me (the caster of this edition, Mountain View Studios, send out autogenerated UPS shipping notices) as I get them. These give a 3-4 day heads up of when your casting should arrive.

If for some reason you need a shipment held on to (or for any questions!), please contact me.

About Iaret

She is named after her pose, which is represented in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs as a striking cobra. There's quite a bit about it out there online under Egyptology discussions (and not all of it in agreement) and I wouldn't want to misquote anything! Suffice to say that this defiant little mare embodies the noble bearing of a young queen who is displeased and demanding respect.

Due to this particular pose representing an extremely tense and quick movement horses make when greeting each other and establishing hierarchy, I've decided it might be best if I share a number of videos to give buyers a feel for the movement in action. It's quite hard to photograph but anyone who's had their upper fence boards knocked down from over the fence greetings can appreciate how quickly it happens. Three quick videos of this can be found here; http://mksculpt.blogspot.com/2010/01/iaret-video-now-and-some-others.html Horses make this behavioral gesture in all sorts of situations to display defiance.
